fyi

sabah / sarawak ap is valid in semenanjung , only if the car's bond in location is in semenanjung, if u have a car with sabah sarawak ap bond in location also there, then prepare to have your car confiscated one day if ur not lucky , and good luck if u want to resell cause bank won't approve the loan.

fyi !!!

and i am now in maldives

won't be confiscateot my car in from la. i asked jpj before i get my car in from mofaz. AP is all the same. only market make the price up and down, different area different price, because holders are different. the only thing is the road tax ddifferent. its cheaper here in sabah.

wasn't a problem. bank from sabah, jpj from sabah, car from kl, ap from kl.
i believe u can do it like this: ap from sabah, bank from sabah, jpj from sabah, car from sabah, and still jpo won't touch u. all the myth is just myth because we are in the same country. the law says that u need a ap. and the ap used in the same country, the only different is... the ap is limited to use in a particular fo area. for example, ap from a dealer of sabah is deem to used in sabah, u cannot bring the ap to kl to sell car. but car sell in sabah can bring to kl.

Salesmen are a smart bunch of people, they can negotiate with bank, kastam and JPJ for loans, samans, AP and much more, as long as people got sustainable income, they oredi qualified..... Last time where got RX8, Skyline, Evo and Subaru all over the place one....... Value oso drop significantly....... haih

friend

as long as bond in is not in peninsula , MITI can come and confiscate ur car anytime. Confiscate is not under juridisction of jpj , but customs and miti. Because cars that bond in in sarawak and sabah pays less tax, normally this is used by car dealers to make more money, And new law which is, every car loan must have their ap checked /approved by miti, it will get approved only if kopi money is involved.

try finding a ap that has bond in kuching and the car is in kl now , then submit it to miti for verification, sure rejected straight away. It happened to me when i was checking out one car i am about to buy, FYI.

Quite funny & stupid rite....why don't they just come a AP for the whole country?WHy must differentiate?

Lennon, bcoz now a day different liao mam..Economy is ok now so everybody is afford to buy those sport car plus all the car dealer bring in too much for Rx8,evo,subaru.....until market over flow so all the car price drop.By the way, they have to sell those import car off before they can bring in more import car.

Next time before buy a car must ask saleman properly their AP is semenanjung or sabah AP.Otherwise become mr.Robert again !

If this was the case, say I go to a dealer in KL, which is a branch of a PI in Sabah, will the car be cheaper? Not including the transport cost from Sabah to Semenanjung of course.

Is that right?

Sometimes it really worry when buyer dunno what AP belongs to your car... New AP or used AP lah..... Kastam will retain the AP, sometimes wicked car dealer used the same AP over and over again, damn scary.....

What's with the STARs?? To measure the used car condition??
