i am the detective of Penang, i keep track on all RX8 which appear at penang, hahaha, i found out, got at least 30+ RX8 in Penang, if i post all the number plate here, does anyone will know who is them? so bad the RX8 list in my car get wet... and spoil ed... i hav to retrack all again... last time i found got 33 RX8 in penang...

-first u need to tap the A/V signal from ur tv module located in your trunk, driver side, behind carpet enclosure. Remove the safety handbrake signal, so u can watch movie and drive. From this step u will have 2 audio and 1 video rca port.
-then u need a 7 inch touch screen monitor replacement. dont get a 2 din deck, just get only the monitor.
after monitor replacement, your
a)open & tilt and TV mode buttons;
b)auto open upon start;
wont work anymore. to make it work again like stock, its abit complicated to describe, u can PM to ask me or call me 0124802818 when u r actually doing this.
also u can custom mod so that your new monitor remote control (if avalaible) will work via the built in IR port on the frame of our OEM monitor.
And u need to mod the powersupply for the touchscreen so that it follows on/off when u open and close if not ur monitor will be on all the time even when u close it, which will look cacat. again its easier if i talk to u on this.
from this step u will have a touch screen monitor in place that works and looks 100% factory installed.
-the next thing would b the PC itself, its up to u to select this, u can have a mini itx or just plug in a laptop.
however even this is not straight forward. as u need to deal with issues like;
the PC must work like it was build and installed to work in the car by the factory.
do not shut down, but choose hibernate. with hibernate, u dont have to save ur work in progress, music and movies played will just continue to play when u restart ur car.
-the PC must go into hibernation and wake up quickly, 20 secs or lower is good.
-the PC must b able to detect when its time for shutdown when u really intend to shutdown ur car and not becos u stalled yr engine. (for this i write my own mini program to interact with the windows API, u can contact me for a copyof this program)
-select and download a front end.
optional accesories;
-Camera
-GPS receiver (for navigation)
-OBD II decoder (for grabbing engine parameters, RPM, speed, A/F... etc...even do yr own tuning)
-bluetooth, for hand phone. you can make calls or send/ read sms from yr screen
-hidden microphone, various uses (like secretly recording a conversation of a polis asking for a bribe..hehe)
