U actually can go to some car dealer ask them to find the car for u from japan or....and u can choose what is the spec u want then they will tell u the price.I think now seldom have 2004 Type S so most likely 2003 is in the market.Price will be around RM19xk.Last 2 months i saw one RX8 Type S come wif mazdaspeed kit but don't know replica or original 1 lah is selling RM195k.If u really want it i can check for u now but u have to give us ur contact no.....or u can ask KL members like kean,marcus,kienhong.....think kean is the right person lah,this fella very free so he can check for u.If u'r staying penang u can call adrian coz he is the "Da lao" there.....

Waah first car is RX-8? What's type S btw?

A friend of mine saw a black MazdaSpeed kitted 8 at Mutiara Motors in Johor if I'm not mistaken. And apparently he saw a couple more.

KL will be cheaper. East malaysia Type S rx8 is about 210-230K depending on the accesories it comes with exmaple MS body kit.

 

Most car would be recond cars..... If you work in SG, find Yohji and ask him to go Mutiara Motor with you..... If you like bodykit and aftermarket stuff, go for recond cos somtimes it have these items..... The best recond i known of is the a recond RX8 comes with bodykit, sport rims and Blitz supercharge!!!! It's been advertised on Motor Trader last month.... But was gone after just a day..... Look into Motor Trader or On The Road, who knows there's something special.....

i just managed to get in touch with a lady in SG Motor at Dataran Prima and she mentioned that SG Motor may bring in new 2003 RX8. i didnt get a chance to ask her what exactly 'new' means in her context.
any thoughts on what she means by 'new'?

 

I work nearby Dataran Prima(two block away)..... Do you want me to check out...... I believe the car must have clocked 5000km... RX8 was selling like hot cakes two years ago, so i dunt think it's new...

thanks again.. but i dun think there's any RX8 in the showroom at the moment. all she told me was that when they do make their next order, which at the moment she herself doesnt know when that wil b, it would b a 'new' 2003 Spec S. she also mentioned that i could put down a booking fee of RM10k if i'm really interested.
i'm expecting an email frm her on the details. so i probably wil drop by when i am back in KL sometime next Tues.

You have to register your car in Perak.

regarding a 'brand new' car - i just check Motortrader online and there are 2 RX8s advertised - 1 'brand new' unit and the other being 'unregistered' unit.

without making an enquiry with the dealers - how would u guys interpret 'brand new' & 'unregistered'?

 

hey clarencel actually i had heard lotsa rumors bout SG motor regarding 2 their AP...da news even pulish on newspaper!!!hmmm even though N**a always chop ppl but they have assurance lo..anything happen they can change a new one for u immediately.. may be u can go auto city, meng heng, mofaz, tenaga wan or sakura there take a look la..good luck 2 u buddy~~

 

"brand new" is basically new car.....could be 2003,2004, or 2005...........if "unregistered",it means that its a recond car where the car have been used in other country and never been registered in M'sia............in buying the recond car,better find with the lowest mileage possible la.........

 

Simple... you have 2 alternatives
1. buy car from any car dealer tell them u want to register your car in Perak state
2. buy car with Wilayah Plate then drive your car to Perak State...go to a motorcycle shop tell them u want a new plate for your car and they can arrange it ... adding to this.... normally they charge a Rm1000+ fees to register a motorcycle under yourname then u can change the number plates on your car...they then change the name on motorcycle to back them. So in paper you are buying a motorcycle, selling selling it away but retained your number also if you want a specific number you have to tender. Deposit to be given is RM250 to JPJ if i am not mitaken and on top of that the price you want to pay for your bidding number.(paid only after the you got it)
