Mazda Rx8 Recall

The VIN numbers have been posted out. We will compile members who have the same heat sheild and joint problems. As of this very moment, Izham is trying to get feedback from Mazda Japan. We will keep all members posted on this topic.

Cheers
Marcus

RX8 Recall Parts

Dear Rx8 Club Malaysia Members,

Due to the recall by Mazda Japan, we would like to gather all VIN numbers for all Malaysian RX8 owners. You can post your VIN number here or call Amelia (Club Sec) for more details.

We appreciate it if you can give us your VIN number ASAP because we want Mazda Japan to know that there are also alot of units here in Malaysia that need the recall parts.

Thanks
Marcus

Chong
can i suggest you to register under www.jsoc-malaysia.com and go to the RX8 site where you can talk to us...... To be honest with you, our car is easy to service as any other car. but better make sure the workshop familiar with Japanese car. I service my car at Taman Mayang, that's a BMW & Mercedes workshop.

It's currently upgrading the services. But that forum is too new, not even a month old. Therefore i'm hoping to get more members. Do you hangout at Sunway or sometimes drop by? Cause you can find some members there included me....

Do you know where N1 racing, KSP power or Amoil are located (shop lots after Sunway piramid, if you're coming from KL) ?? You'll find some fellas over there. Or meet us on friday night at Giant Paramount carpark, PJ from 9.00pm. Call Marcus or me if you want to meet up( our phone number is on first page).

Cheers

..they use bardahl...synthetic.....not sure whether 15w 60 or 20w 50...or else...but the type of oil that they use is not thick...so its easy for the engine to drink up plenty of oil....When i send to C & C at least i know that they take care of my care..
..where does everyone else send their 8 for service..?..
....C & C said there's only 3 to 4 rx8 that service there.....oklah tu since there's not many 8 in Klang Valley...
..the interval of service is 10k or 6 mth...whichever come 1st...(like always..)...

Kong from Sabah,

nice talking to you thru the phone today. Just dont worry about the auto that you're planning to get. Just make sure you service your car on time (preferable around 6000km). I'm sure the car will serve you well. Parts are available here in KL. But some particular parts might have to wait for a months. A good advise is to let your engine cool down by simply open up your bonnet for 10 minutes (since heat is the main enemy).

Cheers
