i think HKS supercharge will give a lot more power than the Blitz's. The review in Option Japan shows that Knight Sports uses same HKS supercharger and produces 282hp on wheel. Of course right tuning is a must. However the price might be around 630,000 Yen (HKS mah!!). So i do think HKS or Trust turbo will give a better gain. ( still thinking should i bought the Trust Turbo, scare got better Turbo coming) AIYAYYA...

for your information joseph is not changing his auto into a manual but he is getting a gtr .. skyline for those who do not know... and for those who think that the auto is underpowered i am willing to to take the basic manual one to one ... as far as i have seen both cars are nearly the same due to the fact that both cars have the speedcut .. and for those who are using the auto they would know that once u use the triptronic you can rev up to 8500 rpm on second gear onwards .. while the manual has a rev cut at 8000 rpm ..

after doing a lot of research i feel that the only things that can be done to the rx8 at the moment is very minimal .. and would only help to increase about 40hp .. my car is a basic auto with only accessories done up but i bet i would b3e able to match the basic manual anytime on a mile stretch ..

anyway nice picture amelia ... now hopefully we can cuci mata on the new girl as well ..

boykichap how is the speedcut doing .. you got the last unit .. although i heard that most of them who have put it on are now having trouble with their engines and even hks have pulled back their speedcut for the rx8 ..

looks like it will be quite a while till the power mods would come in ...

if you intend to get the Varis bodykit i would suggest getting it from wei liang .. owner of quarter mile also known as the supra killer.. much cheaper ..

Dear Sir,

We've checked with Japanese Engineer. It normal problem like some bug in your computer. Because stock ECU system have locked speed not over 180 km/h. But SLD cancle speed locked by make fake signal speed to ECU. And stock ECU still checked speed from ABS signal. So, it show skid contrlo wet light. Same with Supra A/T, sometime TRC on when go
over 180 km/h. You don't do anything.

yo bro i did a dyno on a dynojet... my rev cuts at 9k rpm... but power curve slopes down around 8700rpm. Top power i got was 178.7rwhp

sean no doubt that the manual is much higher in horsepower .. but if you are looking only to play on horsepower then why not race with my latest evo .. but if you are not talking about a quarter mile like what i said earlier in my thread on a mile basis i am sure that the auto and the manual will be nearly the same ..

the manual dyno shows 186hp while auto only about 148 hp .. it shows a great difference from horsepower wise but on a mile stretch both cars will end up the same ..

Whose cars is faster either a manual or an auto. Is very much depends on the driver skills also. Altought a manual RX8 HP is higher than an Auto. If a Manual driver missed his gear..sayonara to him. But, an auto RX8 will never missed his gear.

Accoding to Japan drag race, a quarter mile race for example. A car must be 40HP higher only can take the opponent one car space including the driver must engage his manual gear fast enough. If not, he is worst than an auto torque converter.

Well to be the first in many things is quite easy sometimes..

my car ..

first to have a reverse camera installed ..
first to have a dvd burner installed for the 6 racing cams ..
first to be able to use a dvd on the navigation system ..
first to take off the exhaust muffler..

well there are a lot more first's but what the heck ..
