whos taken out yr cat converter?

i just took mine out today... (recomended mod)

super power gains...

slightly throatier exhaust,
tons of gains,
i tot it was quick before, but now its like a raging bull...
a blip on the trotle it lunges forward, willing to charge, as if hovering on air..

the price? 85 bucks cheap!

some one once said he or she got a quote from jafa or jfa or whatever for 650?... geez can u say "rip off" ?!?

be a smart consumer...

for those contemplating, i hope this reviews helps u.

next on the list.. spark plug cables and drop in air filter.... hmmm should I do it?

Warm,

Did you install back the O2 sensor? The sensor controls your A/F Ratio.

Warm,

Next time when you have the chance, take a pic of the sensor and it's new setup for me. Want to see.

I did not take out the CAT for fear of the O2 sensor going Crazy . Heard lots of ppl's A/F Ratios went lean when the CAT was removed. Recommend you to go for a Dyno to see the A/F.

As for Drop in Filters - I changed to the KNN Drop-In.

Where did you get rid your cat?? JFA is reputable in same sense, but sometimes they let you wait until you blow your head...... But overall, beside Ah Heng, nobody can bet JFA.....

O2 sensor become faulty most of time is becos how the mech handle it...... Taking out the cat will benefit manual a lot, but not so good for auto, like you say it became lean........ Lean make the car goes faster, but oso leave the apex seal unprotected with detonation......

Drop in will sound like normal and quiet, unless you're using complete aftermarket intake........
