hello boss....well i quite supprise that ur 8 used that much of fuel.... for my car... same as urs...type s....petronas = 530 max.... shell = 480.... esso n mobil = 490... projet = 450<---- i drove racklessly this time.... bp = haven't try i t yet..... i think shell also can go 500++...but it all depends on how u drive, ur car setting, mods, unnecessary weight.....so on.... but dont care... wanna save fuel????buy kancil....proven save fuel

By average, my car only get me 330km....... Max oso 400km leh....... But after tuning we'll see how it goes.....

 

Were you able to use the IR sensor next to the screen to connect to your dvd player at the back? I'm assuming you would have removed the Sat Nav DVD and replaced with a DVD player.

You sure you didn't change your engine to kancil L600 ar? That's damn good mileage man. The most i've done was 360 km on full tank.

What about the rest of you? Anything we can do to get better mileage? I baby the 8 all the time and still can't go above 400 km

what do u mean by 'baby' it? if by baby u mean: "no tekan" then pls dont baby it, its actually bad.
its like a person who gets everything done for him, so much so he dont need to get up and walk, just sit and be served... in due time he will become a potato.

in my exp (in any car) tekan or no tekan, the consumption is the same, so might as well have fun if im gonna spend the same amount of money

 

today i discovered another cool thing... i decided to test if the rev warning alarm is working so i tekan till it beep.. i noticed after 5K rpm the engine sounds like aeroplane engine! cooool..., now how to make that sound louder? will open pod filter do that?

 

The best part is Manual tranny Rx8s rev up all the way to 9000rpm........ And yessss....... above 5000rpm is when the Renesis really shows its abilities........ Im beginning to like this NA Rotary engine (Ive always been more of a Forced Induction fan) The only other NA engines i like are the VTEC units from Honda........

 

Came across HyperRev RX8 Mag @ Kinokuniya KLCC........ Already have Vol. 110 ...... Found Vol.96 there also...... Do u think i shud buy it? I bought "RX-8 FunBook " while i was there.... Last copy Rm106.00....... I really like it....Lots of DIY Tips

Ya'll know the "FLARE" holder on the passenger side footwell (leftside corner)???
Well, ive found something more usefull than a "FLARE" to put there.......... Apparently, those LED Torchlights that r being sold in stalls around nite-markets/ outside walkways in front of gaming shops etc are a PERFECT fit for that holder....... Now my car doesn't look as if its missing something....... (Most JDM cars have this holder)............. Sooooo, i can easilly find my torchlight now ....... Which WILL come in handy considering the kind of cars we're driving..........

 

On a diff. note......... ive been wrecking my head thinking which Side-Mirrors look better !!! I like the stock mirrors (got cool light that switches on when u unlock car)........ But those Ganador mirrors look cool also.......... Arghhhhh ............ I didn't have this problem with my previous Evo5 (saw mirrors @ Garage-R in Singapore.... immediately installed em coz stock Mitsu mirrors look like ****!!! )............. I even went to Wangan the other day and got em to open the box so that i could see those mirrors.......Didn't help one bit !!!! Im as undecided as ever............

I also want to buy AutoExe ignition cables......BUT..... a lil worried bout interference (radio etc....usually happens with aftermarket cables.....at least with B16A & H22A)...... Looked thru HyperRev and noticed most other aftermarket Ignition Cables come with grounding wires attached to cables....... Is there a reason for this?

 

I manage to get 480km full tank...... i drive from KL to Shah Alam every day

 

if u are gonna use open pod filter, it will roar like a lion. but its not recommended, cause u are taking in hot air from the engine too.

try MS filter the slide in one. u will feel immediate change in power.
