When did u get ur Rx8? I just registered mine last friday ...... Had to wait for Num. Plate...... ...... Worth the wait though....... Wanted WPJ5005 to match my 2nd car num plate (JJJ5005)....... Then the only diff. between these two plates would be the first two letters

 

bro that is not the way to check the ignition coils.

u need to check for this! you need to manual remove the coils and check for the resistance. no other way!!!!

+ -
A B ∞ or 0 ohm is abnormal
B C Same as above
C A 0 to several kilohm (continuity) is abnormal

remove the ignition coils to check the resistance is the best way to know if your ignition coils are running ok where abc are ad defined in the pic below

 

RX8_Brunei, since you have bunches of friends. why not u try ask your friends to borrow theirs to put it on your car for an hour or 2. at a gathering or something.

Its not too loud...... Its got that Ferrari'ish high pitch exhaust tone when u rev it....... I like the way it sounds a lot

 

i've done with that long time before i shoot the video. All coils are ok. I just want to witness with my own eyes that the plugs are firing or not. Seeing is believing.

what i need you guys to comment on is the engine's sound while cranking. is it normal or abnormal?

added info : the plug holes at the front rotor won't blow air (or less). different than that of rear rotor. i suspect something bad is going on (could be lost compression). but if the seals are broken, then why i didn't hear any tin can sound?

 

Bro, look. Let me explain you. The car & engine is dead. Engine is not running. The car was jacked at 4 points. There are 3 person in that scene. A car starter, a handphone videocam man & a witness.

That's the only video i got. Sorry if my answers won't help you to figure out what my car problem is.

 

FYI we usually do gatherings at night (once a month). My car is at the workshop (business hours 9am-6pm). I don't used to borrow things from friend, that's not me,myself & I. I'd prefer to buy myself rather than borrow.

"Visiting" my poor sick car is more likely the word than "Gathering". Know why? Because we don't do gatherings at workshop.

 

Got mine 2 months back WPD1680. Same scenario as you. Waited for 1680 to match 2 other cars back home.

Mine's an Auto. Spend more time in RX8club forums. Lot's to learn about the RX8 and the Renesis engine. There's equally horror and nice to hear stories out here.

This website should help. Standard RX8 rims have a offset of 50+ if I'm not mistaken. Shouldn't go anywhere <30+ offset as it'll come out from the guards. I'm using a R34 GTR rims with off set 30. Scraps a little when whole family in car and taking corners at the same time.

hai yoo.... i am quai diam diam here, also put me on table.....my windscreen still not coming yet,...boring....my advice before mod anything on you 8,please keep on thinking and thinking..and thinking.......and thinking ,because one mod will get related to other continue mod on your car....that why the mod shop open one by one, and big biger then bigger...hahaha .....here got so many member can prove it...haha..

is the fuel supply line alright? no chocking or something?

 

The offset is perfect, but RP01 wasnt that pretty...

 

Fuel line is okay .. Also the fuel pump too. I predict that the front rotor not good anymore & the ecu restricted the A/F since day one i replace the cat with custom pipe. But this doesn't mean i'm right, i'm not a rotary specialist, but at least i've learnt how rotary works. Oooh i hate the ECU so much.
