Japan - some day trips
Hey all,
Japanese users doesn't seem to post much so I thought I'd post links to some pics of trips I've gone on lately...
Chiba => http://uwillsee.com/pics/?g=10
Hakkone => http://uwillsee.com/pics/?g=12
For the Chiba trip, the car was pretty dirty. it couldn't be helped though as it rained most of the week up till the day of the trip and I have no indoor parking. Got some body roll going on some of those corners... Sway bars might be in order. What do you think?
Cheers,
Tom.

Fantastic! Really excellent shots. Thx for sharing the pics. Can see your 8 really dig into the turns at Chiba...what top speed did you get on the straights? Aside from the body kit, is your 8 basically stock? Pure envy here
Hey guys, Thanks for the comments
Its mostly stock save the body bit. Thinking of getting stiffer sway bars after seeing the body roll in some of those pictures. One of my mates just got the ms ones fitted so waiting to drive that...
As for the company, I'm not sure which Elise that was except that it was an S2. I should've asked for a ride in the Lambo. Speaking of which after a hard run on the brakes in the S2K, the Lambo pulled up behind us in the car park. As we were taking pictures, the S2K started to roll backwards... Yikes that could have been nasty. lol.
Glad you enjoyed the pics. Don't know if you noticed or not but there are also some pics there from the Porsche Driving Experience course in Brisbane. That was great fun. The link is

I must say, the Porsches were fun to drive, but I missed my 8 in terms of reving and feel of the engine. I'm still wondering what it would be like to get the 8 on that skid pan.

Probably about 160. That particular piece or road narrows off to 1 lane after a hard 100 degree turn at the end of the piece or road. Not a bend you wanna take at speed. Before that, its an empty stretch with good visability though so safe enough. The top part of the gallery where you can see the 8 bite into the corners was on a private road up to a temple.

Nothing beats a trip up North. Just clear custom through 2nd link, pay ur toll and possible some speeding ticket and u are clear! No demerit points to worry abt. No need to stop anywhere as well. Just clear the carbon deposit and come back safely.
Thankfully, the speeding cameras here don't usually turn on unless you are doing 130 or they are having a clampdown in which case its sooner. The posted limit is 80 on most roads and rarely 100. Most people drive at 120 because if you are caught 50km over the speed limit you lose your license. Almost nobody drives at 80. Guess we're lucky in that respect.
Any tracks in Singapore? We've an open event in Tsukuba this Saturday for 7s and 8s. Unfortunately, I can't get out on the track this time round. Might be able to go and watch though. If I do, expect more pics...
