Lennon, the cost of a track day in China is so different to USA, EU or AUS. We have to go through so many application before we could have our cars across the border, which is where most of that $12k got sucked out. Also, track hire for weekend is extreme. With meal and accomodation etc... it all added up.

Thumbs up

You should get to Mongkok area in Kowloon. I recommend you to go the streets around Macpherson Playground, like Hak Po Street, Shan Tung Street and Sai Yee Street. There are tons of those shops there!! Good luck!

HI,

I am from Singapore, can you give me a costing on how much will it be shipped to S'pore? And for the cost, does it come with the high-flow cat with midpipe as well?

I can be contacted either through derekwcw@hotmail.com or +65 9382 3386.

Thanks

Bem,

Have you got this installed in your car? How is the oxygen sensor position and my problem with the engine check light?

Wink

Derek

You will see my reply in your inbox on Monday as my mail server is down today.

Taka

We do not recommend to install larger front pipe and high flow cat. as it will affect the low end torque of the engine, which its already lack of. We are running large front pipe and high flow cat. without issues as the engine will be controlled by HKS Vpro.

Best regards

Bem

Bem I can ask 3 questions:

Front pipe = exhaust manifold (aka banana)?

Could you explain larger front pipe and hi fo cat? Japan (Fujita and RE Amemiya) uses equal length exhaust manifold. What is your view on that?

Some Queensland rotary drag star believes that most important is where the 3 or 4 pipes joins to the cat.

Yeah when I have full exhaust system and intake done - I will tune it with Microtech system - similar to MoTeC but cheaper.

No, front pipe is the piping just after the manifold to the cat.

Could you explain larger front pipe and hi fo cat?

Larger diameter front pipe and HFC helps better exhaust flow, which will help increase top end power for racing but due to lowered back pressure, low end torque would be affected.

Japan (Fujita and RE Amemiya) uses equal length exhaust manifold. What is your view on that?

Those equal length manifolds would be very good for high end power for racing condition but similar to enlarged front pipe and HFC, it will affect the low end torque.

Some Queensland rotary drag star believes that most important is where the 3 or 4 pipes joins to the cat.

Yes, they would like to increase as much high end power as possible!

Yeah when I have full exhaust system and intake done - I will tune it with Microtech system - similar to MoTeC but cheaper.

I know Microtech and I have used it in my old Mazda 1.8T. But nothing better than Motec !! If you have the right tuner, go for Motec any day!

Report back of AP racing caliper that I have been using for road and track now.

https://www.rx8club.com/australia-new-zealand-forum-37/review-ap-racing-4-pot-caliper-project-mu-rotor-f-dba-r-hc-pads-96693/

Now I am looking towards clutch... any suggestions? Autoexe? Exedy carbon? Revolution? ORC single?

Yeah I think the single carbon is better than duo core as their torque rating is much higher - compatible with the future turbo.

Just waiting the $$$$ to save up.
