The headlights on my RX 8 turns on automatically after i changed my old battery. This did not happen before I changed the battery and I dont see any switches or controls to turn off this feature. Is there a way to get rid of this function? Anyolne else having such a function in their RX8's?

Strange that this occurred after a battery change, but I would rule out the headlight relay first.
Swap it with the ignition relay and see if it continues.

 

Do they only turn on when its dark outside? If so you've got auto-lights on/off. To turn the feature on and off just turn your parking lights from off to on 3 times quickly.
