So many things to do. Now my biggest project now is to build my new PC. Been researching each individual part for the past 2 days since i was back.

Maybe i will custom an extra PC for my 8. Now that there is extra space under my seat when i moved my amp to the boot, i may be able to install a PC there.

hardware onli hor....still go to add in gps, software etc..

the last time someone selling a used piece on ebay oso went US1.1K.

Btw one thing you must know is that his has the japan display unit meant for the gps ours dont cause of the extra cost.

Powerfull to be application for all tasks liked: GPS (just but the reciever and the map from Sim Lim Square around S$400), Bluetooh, wireless (which is also to be up Islandwide next March), security camera to put at other place (just buy a 1.3mp webcam), revest camera, word, exel, games, movies, MP3, recorded, surf the web while you are driving, u can add a mobile TV reciever to watch TV or news, MSN, yahoo chat room, read and sent email, car adaptor and etc...

Then get too much trouble in building a ATX PC in your car.
I will also consider to fix one soon.

Actually there is a easy way to install a PC. Get a micro-atx (small version of the ATX), a DC-AC converter. Put PC in boot, attached 19" LCD screen, connect both to converter. Pros: Cheaper, faster PC with larger LCD. Con: More hassle than buying the Sony UX.

Sony UX is a piece of fantastic engineering and gadget, I just got mine about 2 weeks ago, but don't think advisable to leave it in the 8 man.........

Now I am just awaiting an original car-mount from Sony itself to arrive, so I can mount it on the dash as well.

The UX, small versatile, powerful enough for my mobility usage, 10 thumbs up for it.

Also bought some resistors, capacitors, a relay, wires, cables...

Currently building a dock for the Mac Mini so that I can pull it off from the car and bring it into my house without pulling or plugging in/out cables like what I'm doing now. Oh, the audio is routed to the Auxmod basic, which is why you see "TAPE^" displayed.

I also have a rear passenger Touchscreen LCD so that the rear can control the Mac Mini. I'll be putting in a rear camera cos the Lilliput LCD has two more video inputs. Probably hooking the 2nd video input to a dedicated GPS system, or a PS2 slim? or a DVD changer? All I can say is that I'm happy with the Mac, but the option for the two video inputs are great.

Anyone needs help on installing in their 8 are welcome to PM me. Will gladly help from planning to ordering and fixing as well.

I do have a Mini-ITX in a VoomPC casing which I bought but not installed as I've bought the Mac Mini. It's for sale now.

FYI- Have have 2 RX-8's. One with NAV and one without. I was able to find an additional factory NAV assembly from a junk yard for $200. I went and did my mods from there. If you call around you should be able to do the same. Here is the thread on the install on one of my 8's. This car is fully loaded with every mod including a mini PC

If only our local cars came with Nav system or someone could fly all the way to a junk yard in the US. I've read ur Mods before and it's a very nice setup, only if you could conceal those 4 bolts at the sides of the perspex and not make it look like it's a hush job. Everything else looks good especially the laser jammers.

Maybe you could let us know of the junk yards there which can ship the Nav center dash to Singapore?

I'm sure that for the right price a junk yard would ship anywhere. I could check on one for you. I do have an extra but the factory screen is broken. You would need to replace it with another.

As for my 8....The screws in the front were a temporary fix because I needed my car back. We just finished the new panel and there are no screws that are visible. We also put in the new Parrot blue tooth with a 2 inch LCD screen that is flush to the face. I will post some more pics sson.
