if everyone is constantly worried about all these itty gritty matters, enuff to put unnecessary pressure onto ourselves, then mite as well just take the public bus or another vehicle into JB.

don't worry too much! have faith in yourself, in your car's alarm system and just be a more conscientious driver over there.....everything will be fine.
JonDog: My thoughts exactly... in Singapore, the gahmen's idea is to instill fear in people... "no other country will offer safety like we have here" etc... reminds me of George Bush using security to hype up his administration's accomplishments. Its just that they want you to feel fear. But its just too stressful to live life like that. Besides, you can't live on an island all the time...

As a foreign fren of mine noticed: in Singapore, parents seem instill the ideas of "can"t do this (or that)" into kids rather than can. Put fear into them rather than instilling the confidence you gain from trying and recovering from failures. What doesn't kill you will make you stronger.

Aiyah, back to JB..... sh*t happens everywhere. My sister has lived in NYC for 28yrs now ... thru the bad years in the 80's even and nothing happened to her. Trust me, JB is never as bad as NYC was in the bad old days...

Its just a matter of being street smart (ie. don't look like a victim) never mind JB, KL, London, HK, Berlin or anywhere.

Enjoy your day out!

Alarm system??
hmmmmmmmmm..

Why do I not recall my car having an alarm system. Do the 8s come equipped with that feature?

Huh. itty gritty. My car missing not itty gritty. But after speaking to some friends, they say that the 8 isn't exactly a target over in Malaysia.

That brought me a lil relief..

YOU mean the "black helicopters"? I think you may have been smoking too much recreational stuff where you were in the States... remember, it makes you paranoid! Maybe hanging out with the hippies types influenced you permanently!!

Agree about the food, space to run and lots of good golf courses. I just love driving thru the twisty coastal roads on the east coast.
Malaysia is like life in general; there is always two sides to every coin... lots of stuff to do and explore and yet plenty more things can happen.
