However, the best advise anyone can give you is to actually listen to the speakers cause there's no point recommending a particular model/brand as what our ears define 'good' are different.

My 2 cents
thanks for the info, bro

Lawrence,

YOu can try AutoTrend @ Blk 1002 Toa Payoh Ind Pk. #01-1441. Look for Darren, and tell him what you want and your budget. He can work out for you.

Unfortunately I'm located in KL & I only recently came back from Melbourne after a long 5 years there.

On the side note, I did hear that there's a car audio store located at the Gr Floor of Sim Lin Square? I could be wrong. Maybe the guys/gals here can help?

thanks for the info!!
have found out that it consists of the multi-channel processor controller called AXM-P7650 and the multi-channel processor DEQ-P7650 right?

Will the processor be too overkill if i only want to use it for audio? seems like it more for DVD playback, which has DTS and 5.1 dolby digital. Will it make much diff if i only upgrade the front component speakers.

no lah, wun be overkill.... it can do staging for ur sound system.... in fact in u wan to retain ur stock head unit, i wld strongly recommend you to get this processor. Moreover its iPOD ready. You can come audition in my car 1st, no prob. A few others have this sytem too. U can try tan280's system. Good setup. My system is not competition standard. Jus good enuf for everyday usage...
