Wow!

Not sure how it works but, this dash is the coolest I've seen on anything under 100k!

This will be fun at night:D

Cheers

Lordy! I've been pining for these 'Star-Cruiser' instruments since day-1. Apparently they have a slight 3D effect too: so that the numerics appear lower than the needle.

I am sure I haveread that there are three levels, the needle at the top, the marks next and then the numbers, Cool.

I think that the coolest thing will be seeing that tacho needle zip round the dial towards 9000 rpm (after the mysterious break in period of course)

Am I missing something - the needle IS on top, surely?

Apparently there's a profound 3D effect, like an optical illusion that makes it seem that the needle is floating above the rest of the instrument rather than resting on it. Hey, I've not seen it so I'm just interpreting what I've read.

I know - ever since those dials were posted on the other forum I've been showing my g/f, friends, parents, cat.... the pictures saying how cool they look!

I've got to say, i've not given it a lot of thought, but now with all the US cars arriving and post after post of first drive reports and new pictures, I'm starting to get a bit excited. :D

Doh... 4 and a half months still to go! That's a lot of sleepless nights.. :p

I like the look of them, but I prefer the red/blue one as the white with all the colours is a bit "Blackpool Illuminations".

Is there a dimmer switch to tone it down a bit?

Well the white background is brighter since it's meant to be for "day" running.

There is a dimmer switch, but i believe this is only for the "orange" background, which is effective when your lights are on.

I like a nice bright dash though. Bet the white will look awesome at night. Sure to attract even more attention from neighbouring cars... :p

The white one is the daylight running one but in the pictures it seems to have been taken in a dark location so the contrast is worse. I think that in daylight conditions the display won't be as bright as it looks in the pics.

The dimmer switch works for both day & night settings, ie headlights off & on.
