Wow!
Not sure how it works but, this dash is the coolest I've seen on anything under 100k!
This will be fun at night:D Cheers Oilman |

Lordy! I've been pining for these 'Star-Cruiser' instruments since day-1. Apparently they have a slight 3D effect too: so that the numerics appear lower than the needle.
|
I am sure I haveread that there are three levels, the needle at the top, the marks next and then the numbers, Cool.
I think that the coolest thing will be seeing that tacho needle zip round the dial towards 9000 rpm (after the mysterious break in period of course) Chris |
Am I missing something - the needle IS on top, surely?

Unusual and different. Hope we can keep our eyes on the road!

No offence intended. Just made me smile when I read it...;)

I know - ever since those dials were posted on the other forum I've been showing my g/f, friends, parents, cat.... the pictures saying how cool they look!
I've got to say, i've not given it a lot of thought, but now with all the US cars arriving and post after post of first drive reports and new pictures, I'm starting to get a bit excited. :D Doh... 4 and a half months still to go! That's a lot of sleepless nights.. :p -andy- |
I like the look of them, but I prefer the red/blue one as the white with all the colours is a bit "Blackpool Illuminations".
Is there a dimmer switch to tone it down a bit? |
Well the white background is brighter since it's meant to be for "day" running.
There is a dimmer switch, but i believe this is only for the "orange" background, which is effective when your lights are on. I like a nice bright dash though. Bet the white will look awesome at night. Sure to attract even more attention from neighbouring cars... :p -andy- |

The dimmer switch works for both day & night settings, ie headlights off & on.
