Who's got a duff dealer?
Reading that Oilman's dealer is driving him to see the car in Bristol it's obvious that some people have good local dealers who are making the effort. Mine on the other hand cannot even return a call. I've phoned FRF Mazda in Swansea 7 or 8 times and asked to speak to someone in sales. Almost every time I've been told that they are all busy and that someone would call me back. On each occasion I've not had a return call from the dealership.
I have spoken to people at the dealership twice now and once I got the promised call to confirm that the order was on the system but that's it.
Has anyone else got a dealer who doesn't seem to be making the effort or am I just the unlucky one?
If it continues like this I may phone Mazda to get the order switched to another dealer as I have the choice of 3 (as long as it doesn't delay delivery!)

Yep my dealer in Leeds doesn't seem too interested. He has over 30 pre-orders so I'm not surprised but even then you'd think they would want to shift all of those if possible.
I asked about the book and he never called back despite promising to.
I've not had any kind of delivery date yet either. How did others get their delivery date? All I have had is a leaflet from Mazda confirming my order and deposit.

That is a shame, as I cannot fault T W Whites for their service. I've had the pleasure of using them before when I had an MX-5 for 3 years, and part of my reason for buying the RX-8 is because I am very happy with the dealership and know that I'll be treated well (which is more than I can say for the nearby VAG dealership).
In fact, I would go as far to say that T W Whites are the best car dealership I have ever had contact with.
