Got a call today from Rob @ TW Whites in Weybridge...

Had to keep it short as I am in Dubai on business! Anyhow;

I am getting a book, they havent arrived yet though.
I will be going on a high performance driving course - date TBA. I think he may of mentioned Millbrooke, but dont quote me on that.
UK has sold only just over 1000 cars so far to his knowledge (1060).
Blue pre-prod car will beat Motordrive.
He had stats on power and fuel. Extra urgban was 24 IIRC and urban 18mpg.. The tax CO2 emmisions were nasty - top whack - 280odd for the high power..
They are still expecting their demo in July.

Anyhow I think that was it - nice to get a call and feel loved!

Edo - you seem to have a close relationship with Rob. I just got off the phone with him - I found it very difficult to get any information out of him. However I managed to confirm Millbrook, but he wouldnt be drawn on current expected delivery dates all managed by Mazda UK apparently.

Odd isnt that dealers are used by Mazda as an interface when ordering the car but then you have to 'deal' with Mazda directly afterwards?

 

Strange. Did he call you, or you call him? I havent even met the guy - ordered over the phone. We'll see how well we get on when I ask him to take the TT in part-ex!

A word of warning... my dealer actually advised me to seel my car private , as he would only offer trade price against the RX8.

Just a thought.... Dont want you to get diddled is all.
