On the basis that the orders will be satisfied by EP number and there are now over 1000 of us, does anyone know how many boatloads this represents??

Also, anyone know how many cars Hiroshima is pushing out per month??

Just trying to get a feel for delivery window for 1st 1000.

I was told back at motoexpo and by mazda at around the same time.. Of course things have changed since then but



The first 1000 orders would be serviced in the first batch (that is in the initial colours)

There after it would be 600 units a month until December. Of course that was with the delivery date of mid september.



This may change but i would expect the numbers to remain the same.

Probably means however the yellows/blues etc will probably get theres not long after the first batch. If not in the first batch

 

The Tricolor (car container transporter that sank in the channel) had 3000 cars on board.

I think Mazda are stating 18000 RX-8's in the first year with production possibly ramping to 30000pa.

Considering production of UK cars starts on 28/7 and ships 20/8 thats probably 1000ish cars right there.

 

The boat can easily carry the 1000 pre-orders, it all depends what other stock theya re shipping. I suspect (hope) that Mazda will produce all of the launch colour hi-powers and ship them in one go.

 

Question, if there suppying in EP nomber and you ordered a low power green/yellow/blue - EP1 when do you get your car lol...

I asked Mazda the very same question by email yesterday.

One of the people I know is in Vienna at the dealer launch this week, and they said they would speak to me on Friday when they are back and have more info. They will also have driven the car and said they would give me their biased! first impressions.

I am out of the country on Friday, but I will call them on Monday and post up of course with any info I get.

Well I ordered a low power and got EP1029 - which I presume that the first 1000 orders will be hi power and I was the 29th person to order a low power car.
