Happier than I was this time last week!!

Got a phone call from Chris Twine yesterday afternoon, my car will be with my delaer by no later than the end of November. I am glad that I did make a issue of my delivery being delayed till December. Only 5 weeks to go !!!!!! Even though I have been one of the ones recently that have been letting my negative thoughts known on this forum, I think we should all be over the moon that the launch is so close now. After all the pain & suffering over the last year, we can all look forward to the launch next week - knowing we will be the first people in the UK to own the revolution.

Good on you Rex!:D

All you have to do now is join the Owners Club and you'll feel even better about things!

Cheers

Oilman,

I will be registering a bit later on today, the reason I did not before was because I was gonna cancel. Just glad I did not!!!

I'm just trying not to get annoyed - no point!
I mail Chris today to ask if they had any more idea of a delivery date. As long as I get the car in November, I'll keep my temper!

On a lighter note, I may have got a buyer for the temporary car I bought off the dealer! If I can get what I paid the dealer, I'll have had 2 months free motoring!

Hmm.. November is going to be tight....

Dear Mr Owen

Thank you for your e-mail.
I have no more news for you at present as until the boat with your Mazda RX-8 on it docks we will not be able to update the estimated delivery date for your vehicle. We are expecting the boat to arrive in mainland Europe in mid November (although this may change slightly due to weather conditions).
I can assure you that T W White & Sons are well aware of your desire to receive your Mazda RX-8 as soon as possible and as such they will contact you as soon as they have more information for you.
I appreciate that this is a difficult time as until the boat docks there is nothing that can be done to speed up the delivery of your vehicle, or provide you with much meaningful information.
Regards
Chris Twine

Just had a quick email conversation with Chris who seems sure I should get it Novemeber. I said I wanted compensation if not, and he said they would discuss IF November delivery didnt happen.

Amusingly I got an out of office from Jerermy Thomson and now have his mobile number.....

Calmed down since your last message Edo, make sure you don't loose Mr Thompson's mobile no, we may both need it come the end of Nov if no cars have been delivered.

Could I suggest as this might be a personal number that you ask Mr Twine's permission before you give it to others.

Only say this because that has happend to me before. I called someone up on my private phone to sort out a work issue while I was off one day, did it as a favour but ended up fending of company calls for months after.

I know Mazda have not communicated with us perfectly in the past few months. However let's do our best to do things the right way.

It seems that Mr Twine is more than happy to communicate with us when we communicate to him via official postal and email addresses so lets continue to do that.

I agree with T.G. Having a business of my own it is a right royal pain in the rear if my mobile number gets given to people i don't even know.

To confirm. I have not given it out. I already had Mr Thomson's email. His out of office replied to me giving his mobile. Should I need to get in touch, I will use it. If you have a work email "out of office" giving a mobile number, one must assume that is a work number.
