frequency of adding oil
Hey everybody, I just picked up my new brillant black RX-8 this week!!!!!...I live near Santa Cruz, California so you know I took it over the "hill" as we call the mountainous ride to the beach of Santa Cruz. Handles incredibly awesome!!!!!...My question is how frequently are you folks adding oil....Every two or every three fill-ups and on average how much are you putting in ????.......Thanks, Markiev

I've needed a quart at 2500, and an oil change at 5000.
I grew up in sunnyvale, and used to always cruise over the hills to Santa Cruz. What a cool place, and lots of great rides there in your '8. Congrats!

Oh, how foolish of me.
I couldn' have done 20.000 km in only one month.
It had to be 2.000 km.
Thanks for your attention.
Regards,
Eric
BTW what's your average fuel consumption in liters per km. ??

Dont wait for the light - thats only for dire emergencies. Check it regularly so the level doesn't fall below minimum on the dipstick. It should take 1 litre to bring it back up to maximum. The renesis has a very shallow oil pan, and needs to use oil for for the rotor tips, so letting the level drop is BAD.
