yep, i think it can. your car is still very new. some ppl here in greece have seen 263@8400rpm, slightly downhill though and had about 10k in the odometer...

242 seems to be my "normal condition" (2 persons, no luggage, no wind or downhill) top speed.
253 is the highest I've reached so far, slightly downhill though.

Did had the occasion so far to push the car over 230. Big brother is watching everywhere in Belgium ! Definitly need to go to Germany if I don't want to get rid of my driving license.

Durn... I only managed 231 (144mph) - shift warning in 5th was going but I stayed in gear. That was just me but with luggage for a 2-week holiday (inc tent) plus a few bottles of wine. It was also very slightly uphill.

I was surprised that 6th seemed to pull at the same speed - I'd always assumed you'd hit vmax in 5th rather than 6th.

Didn't get any higher because the surface changed at that point so I slowed down before my all my teeth fell out. :D

(This was in North-Rhine Westphalia somewhere but I forget where.)

My other vmax attempt was brought to a sudden halt by one lorry pulling around another a mile ahead - needless to say on a stretch of autobahn where this was forbidden in daylight hours. I bet they wouldn't have done that if I'd been in an LHD car.

Well, being in the states and all I can't really try the speed out unless I'm out somewhere where cops are definitely going to be not an issue but I've got yet to see that...especially here in Texas. I wish we had an autobahn

Holy smokes was that so cool to see. I presume you were on along stright and unpopultaed highway? You are blown, right! In a nutshell, what kind of mods did you do to your car and what do you have the original drive train/rims/tires? And how may HP do you have at the rear wheels or crank.

Very impressed. you got up to top speed in a hurry! What a thrill it must have been.

Well that explains it! The way the speedo was moving, I seemed like you had $450 ponies under that hood!

Cool vid though.
