ASPIRATION: Get my RX8 which I ordered for in March this year and then drive a couple of thousand kilometers.

By the way, I have a question for you, why are the cars so expensive in Holland ? Is it due to taxes ?

Due to very high taxes cars in Holland are very expensive.
The RX8 I ordered, a LP with DVD navigation and 6 cd changer, costs about 50.000 euro's. I guess in Belgium or Germany it will be somwhere around 35.000 or 40.000 euro's.

What colour did you choose for your RX-8, mine Velocity Red

 

Yes that right, in Belgium the LP with the options indicated is around 34.000 Euro's and the HP is around 37.000 Euro's with the DVD navigation included.

But we have to pay 2500 additional Euro to put the LP on the road and 5000 Euro to put the HP on the road. But it is still cheaper than in Holland. It is really boring all these taxes !!!!

Thank you for your reply. I'm not much of a computer-freak, allthough I have been working with this machines since 1982.
But anyway, the colour of my RX8 is Titanium. Leather trim is black & brown. I will go for options but untill now Mazda Holland does not know anything about extra's or whatever.
Yesterday I called them for the first time to ask them if they knew anything by now, (six month's went on since I ordered) but all seems to be very mystic. I have to wait at least untill november.

I know more about the car than my dealer does...

I have ordered a lot of accessories or extras but without knowing their price, once they have the prices I will decide which of them I will buy...
