Thanks for asking. I also had power loss several times, but only when the engine got real hot. That was the only time it stalled. After Tempo **** drove off it started after quite a few tries and a lot of cranking.

Took it to Windsor Mazda yesterday where they "zoomed the engine" (decarboned). I have fresh ignition parts and air filter and there have been no CEL's.

Furrin cars have become so much a part of our daily lives (Toyota in NA$CAR???) that one sometimes forget the hard feelings many folks have for them. The UAW still maintains separate parking lots for foreign nameplates! I became more self-conscious about our cars (my wife drives a 328i) after moving here a few years ago. Considering the crap the domestics put out for so long (I don't blame the workers for that BTW), nobody should be surprised that people have abandoned them.

That said, I'd buy a Mustang tomorrow...if it handled as well as the RX-8.

 

yeah, it's funny that Mazda 6 owners have to park in a back lot when it is made in Dearborn but a Ford Contour is ok because it had the proper badge. I used to get knocked for putting Mazda parts on my Ranger but the funny thing was the Mazda parts were made in USA/Canada and the Ford part in China/Thiland. I think it's more propaganda than anything else.

Good luck with the clean, I did the seafoam clean over a month ago.

BTW I saw a yellow 8 last evening around 6:35pm near Antonino's Pizza in South Windsor...it had the most BITCHIN' exhaust note! If I wasn't about to pick up a pie I would have chased him down to find out which exhaust he was running...

I'm going to be at Fanshawe College on the 25th for WOSCA's "charity" autocross event. Last year there were a ton of cool rotaries out (though they were all slower than me for once, heh heh).

 

I just got done driving almost 2000miles in the past 4 days. my tyres are shot. no more trackin untill next year with new shoes.

those rims are prime! 18inchers? I think they would look better on my car.
Gave my car the LED treatment. Amberparking/fogs, amber corners/fturn signal, reddome/trunk/door/rturn signal/puddle lights. Looks better. All I need now is a clear lens HID headlight unit. I will be a little bit more of a baller with a more stellar setup someday...

 

hehhe i am just borrowing them from a friend i needed to get a wheel fix and well no spare tire so i borrowed them i believe he is going to sell them. he got tired of them i guess he does strange things like that they are 18x9 i believe. and i think he want like 1600 i would have to double check that.
