Hi to all in South Western On and Mich. Sat. June 6 we will be holding our third annual Show and Shine at Chatham Mazda on Richmond St in Chatham. the event will from 10 til 2 with awards presented around 1. There will be hot dogs and hamburgers. Awards (determined by attendee ballots) will be presented around 1.
We're hoping for a clear, sunny day.

Well - I did it again... several months ago while it was still very cold - got in and did a quick start... and I let off on the key just a tad too soon. Didn't catch. Since then it has been dead in my drive. I have tried all the tricks and am quite frustrated. The plugs were just changed. and I cleaned them off and I did get it going but it would not idle. Not sure if I put the plug wires on correctly but after several fights I decided to take a break before I called the tow truck and just took it the the Windsor Mazda stealership. I hate to admit defeat. Back to square one.
If anyone can help me out here I would be happy to make it worth your while!

Wow - can things geo from bad to worse?? I had the offer of some help but the timing or weather was not cooperating.. so today after charging all night - putting on the booster cables on the jeep - I went out rolled up my sleeves - and not even a click?? Lots of lights - good voltage... No starter - what th - ??? I can see this now -
Tow to the dealer... New plugs.. new starter.... 10 hours labour.. 2,000+ bucks... (and I may be an optimist here) sigh - any thoughts guys? Just going out to check the starter fuse... though why it should go... - time for a martini...

Mark, mechanic at Chatham Mazda seems to know his way around rotaries. He's kept mine rolling for 7 years. I have always found the dealership fair. I know it's a drive but....
On another note, we had a great day for the Show and Shine. Once again, mine was the only 8. Several MX5's. Two from Windsor and 1 from Leamington and some locals.
Some good draw prizes and trophies for 1, 2, and 3. Winners chosen by viewer ballots.
Oh, good burgers and dogs at noon.
Hope to see some more from Windsor next year!

Hey - is anyone still in this sub forum??

My RX8 (2004 Auto) has lost it's will to live. Oil cooler has a leak... Mazda think tranny has a leak (although that might be spray from cooler) - I am likely going to give it away for 1500 if anyone wants it. has been my daily drive for 4 years. so all good things come to an end. I just can't see spending 3-4K with the dealer.and I am not able to do the work myself. All recalls were done over the last few years. Check my profile for more - I won't go on as this list may be dead Chad?? Fisher?? anyone out there?
