Windsor anyone ???
So I decided that today would be a good day to swap out my plugs since I spent a week in the hospital and could not really do anything stressful for a few weeks.
I thought that this would be a low stress activity. Hah
My wife moved the RX8 and flooded the engine while I was away. So seemed a good 1 - 2 combo - vent rotors - Check. get socket for plugs and extensions as well as breaker handle - Check - Find special adapter for wheel locking nuts - Check Change out plugs - Fail.
First - could not find my hydraulic jack and stands... how do these things disappear? My wife loves to move things - I think these have been lost permanently in some mufti dimensional void. .
So I check out the FAQ on RX8 Club and it looks pretty straight forward - After-all I have swapped out the coils and even done my passenger motor mount.
Well I thought I would just see if my tire changing jack would work. Risking my life etc.. etc.. Battery dead - gotta open the trunk with a key! Fortunately it worked as I have never done that before!
Took off the wheel and labeled the wires... think ahead!
Now the fun part - I don't want to lean too hard and move the car but it looks like I don't have enough room to break the seal on the plugs... "crack" sounds good... until I realize I have cracked the ceramic on the old plug... @^&* - I try it from the top.. no luck. Now I don't want to do this to the new plugs (
Meanwhile the dark thunderclouds are moving in and I need to call it a day.
.....
So fellow Windsorites... if you have the tools and the skill to help me out - I am dead in the water ( or driveway) until I figure this out.
Right now I am looking at wobble extensions - but I have a better idea for the money.
I can be very generous (beer wise) if you can help!
Let me know if you can help me out here - no real rush but, obviously sometime soon.
Thanks a bunch -- Quid.

OK. So we had a relatively successful Show and Shine at Chatham Mazda. The weather held, The burgers and sausages were great and a good time was had. Unbelievably I had the only 8.
We'll prolly do another in the fall.
