Ok, I am getting married on August 12th.
This is a little ways away, and when it gets closer I will start another thread to get people to help me.

Anyways, my idea is this, I dont want to use limos and such, I want to use RX-8s.
I would like to find at least 8 volunteers to help me drive the wedding party around, from the church, to the pictures and get some pics done with the cars if possible (would be a neat thing to post too).
I will give a more detailed idea as it gets more planned and the idea becomes more fleshed out.
Basic is, meet earlier in the morning to decorate cars, then get to church on time, have ceremony, me and the misses will get in my car, and thinking of one car per wedding party member, 1 Best man, 3 Groomsmen, 1 Maid of honor, and 3 Bridesmaids.

If anyone has some helpful suggestions to help make this possible, it would be appreciated.

I am hoping Eldon and Rohit will be willing to help, although I think Eldon already said yes.
Am also planning on providing dinner for these people at the reception, since it would definitely make sense since it is your time to come help me.

Thx guys, as stated, I will definitely making a thread closer to the date, that way I can get a finalized list of volunteers. but after one day, getting 2 responses, tells me I might be able to manage more than 8 cars for this... might become one of the biggest meets in a while

Heh ... I'm too far to help but this sounds like a good idea. Maybe you can sweeten the pot by inviting the volunteers to the bachelor party as well

 

hahaha, all depends on what the best man plans for me, though it sounds a little like lots of booze, strippers, and making sure I cant walk afterwards...

All I can say so far is, the support is great here, I appreciate this.
When my best man starts planning the bachelor party, I will let you guys know the plans so you can come out and join in the fun too. Well, depending on the plans I will try, hehe

It'd be even cooler if everyone was driving all the same color of RX8s.....but getting volunteers is hard enough.

another thought while I am planning ahead, when should we plan another Duffy Lake run? we have to do one this spring, especially since the turnout keeps getting better each year.

 

oh, and Eldon, I told my fiance that you will drive the Maid of Honor, and Rohit, yes, you should be able to drive one of the bridesmaids, no problem. I think they are all around the same age as you 2 anyways. Well, the Maid of Honor is older, but I think Eldon will like her
