Summer tires already?

Seeing a lo of cars today with what seems to be summer tires with rims. Saw a nice S2000 today, white on McCowan Road in Markham, with the hardtop, very nice, never seen an S2000 with the hardtop. Also saw a Mercedes one of the MLs with very nice black rims and a newer beemer with also very nice rims.

Well, these probably aren't daily drivers. They probably parked their car over the winter with the summer tires still on, pulling out the car only when it's warm and dry outside.

You'd be nuts to take off your winter tires so early this year. Last year it didn't snow once in March. This year we've had what, two storms already.

The weather seems nice enough so far. I spent 2 hours yesterday cleaning up my summer/OEM rims but I dont think I will put them on just yet. At least not until Im 100% sure it will not snow again for the next 8 months

They're pretty shinny.

I 'd wait though. It's not just the snow that you should be concerned about, the stock rubbers are not made for lower temperatures.

well it sure is summer like in the west coast. i saw a few lambos and 911 turbos around town already. then again, i don't think people really store their car for the mild vancouver winter here. Although these year has been quite bad! 2" of snow!!!! grrrrr

LOL!!! Vancouver is rx-8 country. actually its more like convertible country. You can drive it year round really. Lots of wonderful scenic roads. Not as flat as GTA. I used to live in Mississauga, Ont.
