The manual states that if I have a flat with a nail and I use the repair kit the tire is no good anymore.

Now if I drive a tire in winter and I have a flat and the tire is shot after I fix it with the repair kit, how do I get a new winter tire if the supply is minimal in the middle of winter ?

Since I drive the car in winter with winter tires and I can not afford time off because of a flat, should I buy the spare tire so that if i get a flat, I can have it fixed and keep on going ?

 

The spare tire kit will run you about $350. A cheaper option would be to get an extra (fifth) tire and keep it at home. If you have a flat you will have an extra tire to swap out should the mounted one be un-repairable

 

So, is a tire that's repaired with the goo kit done?

 

I had a nail in my tire.. it didnt go flat, and i didnt use the goo kit. I still had to buy a new tire becase the puncture was to the outside of the center treads.. They said they would fix it if I asked but they didnt reccomended it as it's a serious hazzard at high speeds.

On a side note.. they somehow messed up the tpms sensor so I had to take it back today.. they did give me a nifty miata to drive tho.

Moral of the story is, if something happens to the tires, chances are you have to buy a new one.. $275
