RX8Club Shannonville Pro Track Lapping day Friday July17!!

SO...we have 21 (no idea what pros is doing), I will bring 21 envelopes, with each persons refund ($23 each I think I said).
Thanks again Al for the tires, can't wait to try them out...ZOOM ZOOM.
Oh...Nate....how come you went with 275?? Damn I saw them, they are freakin huge, the extra weight is gonna make you slow lol.
ill be putting them on Enkei RPF1, 18X9.5, quite a lot of people run them in the states ive had a set of 255 falken 615's on them they currently have a set of shaved 275 ra1's and soon they'll have the bfg r1's
its funny you think there going to be heavy. my current track setup is so much lighter than my street setup i'll weight them next time i have them off but i think there is at least 10lbs per wheel. i do notice the areo drag on them when im in double digits thu.
id love to bolt them up to your car scott and see how it handles

I update first post again, with the 21 ppl that have paid and will get the $23 refund.
If I'm missing something let me know.
As for everyone above 21 I have no IDEA what is going on regarding payment.

Rims will be 4 to 5 pounds lighter. Your tires??? Given the width, they will likely be heavier but not sure because racing tires may be lighter than street tires... Would be curious about overall weight.
My OEM tire and rims weigh 46 pounds with about half tread on tires.
ran around the house looking for a scale no where to be found. all i know is its noticeably lighter when you pick up one of my track rims vs my stock ones its a holy **** these are light moment.
the only real issue i have running such a wide tire is with stock suspension how much body roll occurs. i know im giving up a little bit of the feel of the 8 for speed but im at the track and i figure street you want a nice feel and the track its all about going as fast as possible.
im quite a bit faster with the wide tires i ran a 1.24 at TMP while another member was running 1.33s i think

Well if anyone is reading this, lol... I came 5th overall in the Street RWD Class (out of 7 lol) with the following times:
1.33.77
1.34.52
I'm happy with those times for my first time on a track. Does this seem like average times for this track? (I am completely stock)

yeah this isn't very accurate or fair since i was timed on a completely different day by a friend with a stopwatch. all i'm saying is 275/35/18 RA1's are noticeably faster than my 235/40/18's avs es 100s which shouldn't be surprising to anyone.

Al you are bringing the race car?
this is going to be really cool to see this many rx8's on the track at the same time. you think this will be a world record? lol
Alan whats your other option bring the ms6? id love to chase that around

^lol do you drive an auto? there is no way in hell a crown vic will keep up with us on the straights. i suspect will fly by him as his standing still.
it upsets me when rx8 owners have so little faith in their cars. i do believe in being conservative but their is just no way a crown vic willl be anyway near a match for a 8 on this track.

Auto.... that's a dirty word.
But dont forget it's not a standard crown vic, its a cop cruiser...
Dont get me wrong, i love my 8, but i know what not to do with it as well, taking on a massive V8 on a straight stretch of track is not it's strong point
