Man, out here in Van, I saw 2 silvers, and one titanium in the last few days, and all of them either smiled and nodded, said hi when side by side, or waved, so, it seems like a lot of fellowship out here

 

Got a nice surprise when I went to hop in my car in the Home Depot parking lot in Burlington....and a nice silver 8 was parked beside my Red 8.

I left the car a note to come visit this site....post if you read this!

 

few days ago saw a yellow 8 on lakeshore in the morning (around 8:15am). Then yesterday say a blue on the gardiner around 8:15am again. The cool thing is both times the driver honked or waved. But i still get surprised when I see how nice the car is from the outside!

This morning I saw a black RX-8 on Upper Middle road in Burlington.

 

Is it a fake? Doesn't appear to be a standard Photoshop Special FX hoax.. Sighting between Timmins and Chapleau, N. Ontario.

I call Bullshit. If this was taken between Chapleau and Timmins, how did the driver get such a clear picture and hold an open beer?? You gotta be from the north to get it.

Or the Polar Bear in Cochrane?..Right on, Steve067. I drive 'down north' to Timmins every summer to my in-laws' cottage. It was a blast in the Miata. Now I'm really looking forward to my first drive in the RX8. in August

No sightings: 401 W Whitby to Bayview Ave. (3:00 pm) and return (7:30 pm) .
[Just a yellow Mitsu Lancer who wanted to dice, which I, of course, responsibly declined. Then a gunmetal grey Z4 at Brock Rd. ...] OOh, my, we do attract attention!

It's a beatiful drive once you're north of North Bay...Miata would have been fun, but the 8 should be an absolute blast!

Hey Jrnx ... The yellow was me. I know what you mean by saying the car looks awesome from the outside. I get that same feeling everytime i see one.

 

Woo hoo ! Better than a sighting. As I was rolling out of a Tim's parking lot on Vic Park this morning, a Ti RX8 from Gyro Mazda was coming in. We both had to stop because of congestion. I called over to the driver, an Asian fellow. "Nice car! Are you a member of the Rx8 Club?
Looking friendly but undertandably puzzled, he shrugged, "What club?" [On second thought, I don't blame him].
And so I told him. He said he'd definitely be checking us out..

 

I'm actually close to the downtown core (shudder.) But I'm through Ottawa and Strasburg several times a week, usually late in the evening.

If the 7 was worth admiring, she probably wasn't mine. I've spent most of this year under the hood, so the paint has been neglected and is in poor shape all around (note attached pic in previous reply - that car was RED when it left the factory.)

Other ways to tell if its mine:

- AMUR G2 license plate

- your eyes are watering and you can't breathe :D

 

I saw a black rx8 in the parking lot of the baymac center on the corner of bayview and major mac.....I actually parked my Ti Gray next to it to step in to a store for a few mins, but when I got back, the car was still there, so I doubt anyone noticed.

I also saw a blue one in the village gate plaza at bayview and weldrick.

I've also seen that mmtoasty 8 around Richmond Hill at least 4 or 5 times now.

Cambridge Sighting- saw a silver Rx-8 parked on the side of Burnett on July 12th around 5:00pm.... anyone here?

 

Toronto Sighting: Black rx8 in the paramount underground parking. Tuesday july, 13th... at about 10 pm.

 

Saw a blue one at McCown and Major MacKenzie in Markham today. (First time my "Raquel" has actually driven by a relative!)

Past sightings....

Black RX-8 at Fallingbrook and Kingston Road in Toronto (1 month ago)
Red RX-8 mid May at Yonge and Dundas in Toronto
Yellow RX-8 early May in Old Montreal

Feel like a kid again, what with the "zoom zoom" of driving her and the fun of looking for others like her (kind of like the "punch buggy" VW bug game when I was young.)

 

Saw a red one this afternoon at 2:40pm. He/she was northbound on highway 24 just coming out of Cambridge. Hit the horn twice (I was in a dump truck at the time :D .)

 

Hey Amur_ I see a lot here in the downtown Montreal core. It's just harder to get their attention in my brother's red MX-6. It does have a loud exhaust though :p
Whenever I'm in my FD RX-7 I get attention easier, but never spot RX-8s... or even other RX-7s for that matter!

 

Well then, how about one in the boonies?


We paved the parking lot of a factory in the megatropolis of New Hamburg, outside Kitchener. As we're puttering along, I watched a blue 8 come and go throughout the day from a house directly across the street.

At the end of the day, I ran across the road to say Hi.

Turns out it belongs to a lurker here - forgot the handle he told me. Nice guy though. So there's at least one sighting (for me) with a distinctly happy ending. :bigthumb:
