Pricing for new 2004 GT in Vancouver
After looking at various new cars over the past few months (and reading lots of great info in this forum), I have finally made the decision to buy an RX8. I have found my 'ideal' car in Vancouver - a brand new 2004 GT with only 150 km's - no sunroof or NAV. The sticker price is $40,000 and they will come down to $37,000.
Is this a good price for this car that is soon to be two model years old?
Thanks

sounds high to me, saying a 2005 GS brand new is 37000$
although, i dont know what car pricing is like over there, but i figured it was fairly standard everywhere
i would pass on that one unless they came down even more (but thats me :D)

They are now saying the can no longer offer the 2004 at that price (incentives for the 04's ended May 31), but can offer a 2005 for $37,000. All dealers are being very firm on the price and offering a max of $2500 off MSRP.
Thanks to all for the advice.

My car should be here by the end of next week. Can't wait.
In the end, I bought the car from my local dealer (Victoria). After my experience with Signature, I couldn't believe how fantastic they were. They quoted me a good price ($38,000 for a 2005 GT with m/r and all the 'extras' except taxes) without any games. Unfortunately, since I wanted Winning Blue (there were none left in BC and non available without the m/r), the car has to come from Alberta (the extra transport cost is reflected in the price). It seems the availability of some colours/options are limited.
Just a few more days . . . .
