definitly not. GM seems to have the contract on building transformers (camaro and solstice in the movie) and we all know Al likes old mustangs and mazdas. haha.

hmm....is it a part of a piston? the groves being the ring lands and that spiraled peice of metal would be whats left of the oil control ring?

if i am right then that fits my assumption that it will be fairly obvious once revealed and jaw dropping in how much damage that equates too.

Taking a wild guess here lol a Mazdaspeed 3 went Ka-boom and rip the piston apart and fused something with it or something like that.......lol

 

speed 3's dont blow engines the normal 3's with their 2.0 and 2.3L do i believe a connecting rod bearing normally fails causing the rod to come out of the block

 

Well John L gave it away because he knows about it! It is a piece of a piston from a 2007 Mazdaspeed 3! The "tail" is part of the oil ring that is wedged in whats left of the piston groove! I just kept it as a momento! The piston seem to have made a nice window in the block just above the starter!
