Hi all

This is my first post and I just made my account about 10 minutes ago lol

But i saw this event and wanted to know if I could attend ( i don't know if they're restrictions to going or not).

I just purchased my rx8 yesterday and it should be all ready by July 5th. So assuming all goes well I hope to be able to attend! Is there anything I should know about the event before hand ?

jordanito we also have a facebook page called "GTA Rx8 club". and no theres no restriction to this event, everyone is welcome =), just carefully read all the description on the very first post in this thread regarding time and places.

If you are new to manual and/or new to the handling characteristics of the rx8, I recommend that you stay near the back.

Aside from that watch for my update soon midweek.the route will get tweaked for more right turns and will establish proper washroom break locations.

I intend to take my car out all day July 5-6 to get accustom to the car. I look forward to hearing advice and info from everyone that will be there. Thanks

Just remember your torrent is unlikely to be able to handle the corner speeds. So may want to stay back.
You can be anywhere in thecruise line for the first half of the cruise. We will stop in washago before the start of the twisties

Dr. Roy wrong thread to post your message. There are many events at cayuga organized by different groups. Please start a new thread with your question. If you are in Toronto area join the Facebook gta rx8 club page!

Whiper just add your name to the list that's growing if you want to attend.

Jordanito please don't try.... don't want you to be in the bushes....if your torrent is stock. There is no physically possible way your car can outhandle a rx8 in the corners. There is sand on the edges so if you're going too aggressive there is good chance you will catch the curbside sand
Slide into the trees and explode into a fireball immolating you and the car and end up on barrie's 6 pm news!

There is a reason why this is an rx8 club cruise and not just s cruise for car enthusiasts... however we extend the courtesy to those who own rx8s but some reason can't come in their 8 like yourself. But absolutely no random people that just wants to come to the cruise in another random vehicle.

There are other organizers for cruises like that.

lol I was mostly joking but hearing about the roads is making me even more anxious! I hope i can get my rx8 on the road in time! but if not il be able to figure out where the roads are and go on my own time. I would also like to thank you in advance for the extended courtesy

Note: obviously we cannot prevent you from driving on the same road, at the same time. We just want to be clear about our intentions: it is an RX8 cruise, after all.

That said, I would figure anyone is welcome to attend the starting gathering, to meet the group, get info on the cruise, etc. Basically we'll figure it out from there.
