My Puppy's Sick - Ignition Coils/Oil Metering Pump - Help

Ciao, Ciao Rock and Rollers .. 94,000 km and the puppy is sick. Have no fear I have the MAP extended warranty, good to 160,000km. Driving a crap Ford 500 loner. Help...What does it mean when the coils and pump need replacing ? To boot ... no coils anywhere. I've been without the "Sweet Thing" for 5 days and the dealership says I'll need to wait lots more.

Holy ****! Mic's back! lol

The coils and pump need replacing??? Is that the fuel pump? Or the air pump? The ignition coils need replacing???

I think the 500 has been renamed for 2008 to a Taurus! lol

Oil pump?? Was it low of oil pressure? That definatly cant be good

4 Ignition Coils and a Oil Metering Pump

My Engine Light came on so I stopped and checked the oil. It was 75% full.
Temp and oil pressure guages were in their normal positions. Called Mazda and they said I could drive the car as long as the engine light was solid and not flashing. Drove to the dealership right away and they told me they got readings they've never seen before. Anyway, I need 4 ignition coils and an oil metering pump. ( measures the oil going to the engine ). Help. Anybody know about this stuff ??

From reading around on this website, it appears that the 8's coils are a weak spot. I replaced my rear ones this year at about 65K under warranty. Had to have it towed to the dealer.

Thanks Alrib ...Bought the "Sweet Thing" because of the looks not because I know anything about cars. What do you mean about rear ones? Assume there are front ones. Hey Neo .. what the heck is going on?

Hmmm, an oil metering pump. That's odd? First time I've heard of the OMP needing replacement.
Now the coils?? What year was 8 Mic?

What's going on with you?? Haven't heard from you in awhile... off jetting to Italy again??

No Parts and I Wait..

3 weeks and still waiting for my 4 ignition coils. I love it !!
My extended warranty is good to 160,000 or June 11th and I'd rather be driving this PIG than a 4 seater by

Who knows and I don't care. I told them to take their time and do it right. It is crazy !
But as long as we are getting this snow and my mats are all white .. My puppy is safe and warm in the hospital ... And I've got 2,100 more warranty miles because of the pig ( Ford 500 ) they've given me..

Good News .... Bad News ...

So I learned today that Japanesse Car Makers will not fly parts to North America ..
My frickin, fracken parts came by boat. 4 weeks.... Mazda pays a car rental company $1000 for a months rental .... for a shipment by air that would have cost them max $200... I'm not complaining ... saved me 3000 km on my sweet thing, but **** .. that's stupid !! Oh Yea ... came off the on ramp to the 407 at 70km/hr and jumped on it to maybe 130 and the frikin / frakin engine light comes on ...
The story continues ... The sweet 8 runs good but the light is on ...

Goes Like a Bat Out of Hell !!

Is the Sweetness ever quick and slick now !! Got the puppy back on Saturday ..
Wow ... Big Improvement ... She's just like the day I bought her...
Noticed that starting her cold was easy .. starting her hot was slugish ..
Told today MAP will pay for an upgrade ( ? ) on an improved starter kit ??
Anyway .. once again .. women and children get off the streets .. the Mic and his Sweet Thing are back in action ...

Oppps Here I go Again ..

Took off from work to go for lunch and couldn't get the sweet thing to do more than 40 clicks an hour. Called Mazda and they towed me from Mississauga to Burlington. New starter kit and 2 new lead plugs ... Anybody having the same **** I'm having ? Not pissed because I have the extended warranty but ...
