so went from Calgary back home to Winnipeg today. Tried driving at various speeds to see what kind of fuel economy I could get.
Doing 110-120kph I saw over 600km to a tank or almost 25 mpg
crusing at ~4200 rpm on the tach in 6th I did ~21 mpg
not bad if I do say so my self.

Assuming an average of 115kph, that's 3500RPM in 6th.
4200RPM on the tach in 6th works out to be approx 130kph.
25MPG is 9.41 L/100km.
21MPG is 11.2 L/100km.
Could be our (his and mine) are down on power but I get similar numbers to him. I have actually gotten better mileage taking the 407 at a constant 127km/h (4000rpm) compared to the 403->401 playing in traffic going 110-120.
