thanks for sharing! You should also post this at the Tech Garage! Having said that, I feel terrible for having my first oil change done so quickly at 800km!

Great post.

What brand would you recommend getting? I talked to Signature Mazda in Richmond, and they will allow customers to purchase better quality filters for their regular oil change.

I like this idea a lot.

Now, another question (Perhaps for another thread) I heard about the Oil grade in Japan and just about everywhere else in the world is 10W 30, where as here in Ford Country North America, we use what Ford motor company mass produces, which is 5W 20. Is that a rumour? or is that actually fact?

I'd love to find the answer to this one

Does that dealer actually carry the better brand ones? or would the person have to buy that before going to the dealer and then hand it to them and tell them to use that instead of the inferior mazda one?

You would have to buy your own and take it in.
