Looking for some wheels..

Hey guys. Not a Rx8 owner here..Only own a Mazda3. I've tried to do a thread on the classifieds but with little to no success, regarding my search for some oem RX8 wheels for my MZ3. This due to the fact that they're almost all americans. I usually drive to the US once in a while for my purchases but I got nothing that is waiting for me and I simply dont feel like going there that soon so I wont be getting wheels overe there.

If you, or if you know anybody that is looking to get rid of his oem 18's please let me know. I'm not desperate for them but if I can get a good deal I'll buy them. Close to MTL, Ottawa, Toronto (beeing the furthest). I am located in Gatineau/Ottawa for that matter. PM me please or email cayusse@hotmail.com

Thanks
Mario

Damn! That's alot of wheel!! I'd be afraid to drive around with that much wheel and little rubber bands!

Notice how much slower your car is now? How about your fuel economy?

I'm temporarily driving my 3 with my old FD wheels. And the change is astronomical! Not only is the car slower, but now she's consuming more fuel due to the added weight and added width.
The engineers are really good at deciphering how much tire a car should use within it's power range. The 3 does not like running 225/50/16 tires!

I can't imagine how much of a hit you're going to take. But if all you're after is looks, then you've done a great job. Alot of 3's running on RX-8 wheels look nice.

I personally would stick with the stock 17's. Plenty of wheel for that car!

Lates,

Lates,
Yes I'm pretty much just looking to have a clean 3. Honestly I didnt see a difference about gas economy or loss of power. Maybe just needs a little more rpm to go from idle in 1st gear thats it. Handles like crazy now though with the drop. I watch for potholes thats for sure...My tires are Nitto Neogen 225/40/ZR18. They're great.

Is it me or what that the mazda3 rims look very similar to the rx8 rims except that it's 17" vs. 18"? I much prefer the clean 5-spoke design than the 07 chicken feet style.

Yes they are very similar except the rx8 have 2 little dots (holes) on the bottom of each spoke near the lug nuts that the Mazda3 dont have, and the rx8 spokes at the point where they meet the lip have an angle, the Mazda3 are just straight.

I HATE the 07's "snowflakes". The 5spoke design is way nicer.
