Dumb question but which top deck at Fairview, the one by the TTC or the one next to the Bay near the 404?

someone did say something about TTC parking,which I have no idea on how to get to.
Can we call and reserve seating for like 10 guys for 8:00 or 8:30 gives us time to meet up first

Yes we are eating earlier at a more normal time (7pm) but being Friday night its possible it could be packed. I'm not sure we should keep flip flopping the location as its going to confuse the hell out of people. Lets just meet there and if its insane we can come up with an alternative plan - try not to arrive hypoglycemic just in case we need to wait or drive to another place to eat

With regards to the parking - i was thinking of parking on the rooftop of the TTC lot (not the one in front of the bay - the TTC lot is the one infront of sears). BUT... they do say you cant park there when the mall closes... do they actually close the gates or tag cars? I'm not a TTC commuter so I have no idea how they deal with cars left on their lot (I think the mall closes at 9pm). Anyone know anything about that?

 

Attached is a map of mall showing where the restaurant is and the TTC parking lot. I have highlighted an alternative parking location if the TTC lot is closed or inaccessible for whatever reason. Everyone head to the TTC lot first ? Unless someone here knows for sure they want all the cars out of it by 9pm.

TTC parking @ Fairview mall: No parking from the time the mall closes until 5:00 AM everyday.

Fairview Mall Regular Shopping Hours:
Mon-Fri 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Sat 9:30 AM - 8:00 PM
Sun 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM

So I guess parking closes at 9pm???

 

umms might not be able to make the dinner (parents 25th anniversary), but maybe. where are you guys heading after, if wash ill probably watch and chill lol my car looks pretty clean (just washed it yesterday =D)

Since TTC closes around midnight I think there should be no problem going OUT after you parked...

My brother parked there until like midnight before (got car jacked lol) and its fine...

I am not sure about going in though...

 

Yeah I asked my friends and they said as long as your car is in there before 9pm you are able to drive out no problem... which should make sense considering some TTC commuters may park in the morning and not be able to get back to their car until later at night! So just make sure we get our cars in before 9pm and we're good. I will call the restaurant tmr and try to make a reservation....! Will post when I have that done.

 

From what i understand, St Louis won't do reservation for that many? but it's worth a try! : )

I won't be able to make it for dinner, but I'll meet up with you guys later, just let me know where or i might just message some of you guys. If i do come, hopefully i'll be able to get there by 9, don't want to be the few people that don't make it up to the parking lot in time ><

 

I woke up and it seems like its raining pretty bad! :O
Hope this doesnt affect plans tonight. We might have to move down one level from the top because weather network says it gonna rain till atleast 6, but then again they're not always right lol.

 

yeah, they said last night was gonna thunderstorm, nothing happened! Dry roads.

So I saw about 5 Rx-8's last night... mARs, Darklight9, one guy that only comes on the forum when he is looking for something, another guy that never is on the forum but is a friend of Darklight (RED R3), and another guy that I've never seen before and never got a chance to talk to (MS KIT with gold rims).

It was massive, they originally said it was the back of the HOME DEPOT lot, but somehow they moved it to the GO Langstaff station parking lot which I felt was a big mistake. GO is government owned, and sure enough at around 10:30, the GO Safety patrol rolled in and told us to leave. Following that was 2 tow-trucks behind him and 3 York Region police cruisers as a show of force and their seriousness.

Meet disbanded at around 11 pm. Meet started at 9pm, I got there at 9:10 or so and there were already 50 cars there. I was impressed how all these people were ON TIME, something the RX8club is hardly ever able to acheive.

By the end of the meet, there were about 150 cars on the lot. It was MASSIVE. It started getting rowdy later though when people were peeling out of the lot as they were leaving on their own accord. But once the POPO showed up, they all left quietly hahahah

I found out that "Ertefa" is apparently in Farsi language, and it means "height", referencing the ride-height of the car. Also, before I was always only able to see the ERTEFA logo in small print, and the "T" always looked like a tall man wearing a hat and a big trench coat with his arms spread open. At first, I put two-two together and figured "hmmm this is runned by a bunch of middle eastern people, and we have this guy in the photo in that pose"..... the first thought I had was that dude in the T looked like a suicide bomber and his trench coat obviously is full of explosives, and he's spreading his arms out like in his last 5 seconds of life when he praises "Allah Ackbar" (GOD IS GREAT) before exploding himself. In otherwords, this group maybe a car meet which fronts for terrorist activities hahahah.
I'm going over myself now, too much CNN and FOX news.

...IT TURNS OUT... on closer inspection now that I could see the stickers. the T is a picture of a suspension strut.... lol.

 

150 cars is alot of cars for a Thursday night meet that's awesome.
