Looking for a shop to get my exhaust installed

Ive called a few places around and for some funny reason they all quoted me $80. I know how to do this i just dont have jack stands at the moment. To remove a few bolts and hangers, its not a 80 dollar worth job to me. Can anyone recommend a shop that can install my cat back for decent price for an excellent job ? Please share your experience.

I worked for Midas, $80 is pretty reasonable. What is your decent price? Is your bolt rusted? rounded? stripped? Sometimes is not just a few bolts and hanger. The car is not brand new off the lot. For $80, go get yourself a jack and stand and a basic tool kit and do it yourself, see if you think $80 is too much. Just my two cents.

I was thinking 50 ish lol. I was thinking of just using the money and getting myself jack stands lol. I just dont want to deal with stripped bolts etc etc cause as you said, the car isnt brand new off the lot.
Thanks

good luck. Regular Tool kit from Jobmate or Mastercrap doesn't work against a rounded or rusted bolt.

grab a set of stands and see if you can get the braces off, if those dont come off, your pretty much sol.

as soon as you get it off the ground, liquid wrench all the bolts. give it a couple of taps, and then let is sit for a bit. then attempt, might want to invest in a breaker bar.

Stands, breaker bar, liquid wrench and a propane torch. But you just spent more that $80, though you'll know it's done right and have some more tools for your next project. If you don't have a garage or somewhere to work on the car of your own a $80 install is not bad. Think of it this way at least an hour of hoist time plus labour...... 80 bucks is pretty cheap.
