I have it, but not looking to get rid of it. Hoping it does in fact protect the shrouds from melting. They are freakin expensive for what u get. GL

Your shrouds aren't gonna burn unless your running catless and running really rich. I have only seen one melted shroud in my life. Those finishers are really more so for looks and they are very expensive. Shrouds are around 35-38 per side. Much cheaper to replace then purchase those finishers.

You are incorrect. It depends on the catback exhaust you are using. Both of mine started to melt the moment my exhaust was replaced. I got out the Dremmel tool to made the holes larger and cut out the melted plastic. My car is otherwise stock and no engine tuning has been done.

I have the SP2 and even when I went tracking, I didn't have that problem. I'm actually more concerned with it now since I have the Mazdaspeed rear diffuser.
