After almost 3 weeks out of town on business and been too busy to think about my upcoming 8 I was finally ready to pick it up last Friday when they informed me that it was still "at port" in BC and would be another 2 - 3 weeks before I get it. My question is can I go anything about this. I have it on the contract for and end of April delivery and it will be early May at the latest.

I sold my old car and have a loaner Protege from them but it's just not the same thing.

Maybe I should hit them up for some free accessories? I was looking at the strakes and rotary accents and wouldn't mind if they felt a little pain like me.

Any suggestions?

 

Relax. I'm in the same boat. Ordered last December, promised for April, in port in BC, hopefully just another couple of weeks. Our 8's will probably be on the same train. Great you got a loaner, I'm still driving my MX3GS that they're taking up tomorrow to see how much it's worth on trade.
To be only a few weeks off when predicting when a car like this will be available seems pretty reasonable to me.
So what are getting? I'm eagerly awaiting a Ti Grey 6MT

It's killing me!!! Especially cause it was 22 in TO today and cruising in a Protege just doesn't cut it.

Oh well. I'll see if I can get something as the contract states end of April delivery.

Don't worry about the wait, just be happy that you won't have to go back to the dealer again to get any recalls or flashes done on the car, so it'll be on the road more once you do get it :D
