I plan on keeping mine for as long as I possibly can. Eventually it will become a project car once I have a stable life, house, another vehicle, etc. and maybe hand it down to the favorite child as a grad present.
For now though I'm going to drive her as long as she'll carry me.

I don't anticipate a reason to get rid of it until it's extremely old. Couple of potential reason: 1. Gas went up to $10/L I might get another car and use the RX-8 sparingly. 2. Major mechanical failure / chronic repairs needed (by that I mean 15+ years old, big KMs, etc.)

I planned to keep it forever since it wouldn't make financial sense to offload it for next to nothing.
Unfortunately the reality was that I ran out of garage space. I didn't want to leave a nice car out in the hot FL sun, so off it went

I dont plan on ever selling mine. Once i feel like buying my next daily driver my 8 will turn into a track car (it basically already is and i'm just living with it -- loud exhaust, racing seats, firm suspension, squeaky track pads ).
It will probably be my daily driver for the next 2-3 years at least. I might get some sort of commuter car in the mean time but i probably wont make a big purchase on a second car for a while.

It's been 5 years for me so far - a record - will keep it 'till I break it or as long as something that's more engaging to drive that can still fit 4 people comes along for non-stupid money (like under 60 thou. new)...nothing yet.

I plan an keeping it until we get our flying cars and/or there is no more gas... whichever comes first.
I've had it for almost 7 years (original batch 2003 car) and given the resale value and how long it's been paid for, there's no point in selling it.
I figure my race FC will eventually just be too darn old, so I'll maybe cascade the RX8 down to the track roll, and replace with the RXwhateveriscurrentatthetime for a street toy. (I already have other vehicles for the commuter beater roll.)

Ditto with most of you guys...
I'm keeping this sucker... it'll retire from daily driver at some point and become my weekend/track warrior.
Honestly, if I had the money/room I'd hold onto my FC3S5 as well... but... she requires too much at this point for me to afford... and it's not the least bit practical in anyway... the RX8 is by comparison.
Live strong my fellow rotards!

I'd always planned to keep mine for at least 3 or 4 years, then see how the new RX-?? pans out and decide whether I'm sticking with rotaries or make a jump to something different!
