I will be getting the heat shield installed soon and they will flash the ecu according to the recall. Has anyone noticed anything different with the flash other than the rev being limited when not moving? My car runs great now and does great gas mileage and I don't want to change that.

 

I don't think you will see any difference. I didn't.

 

Only thing I've noticed is more oil and gas consumption.

 

More gas consumption for sure, mine change almost 50 km's per tank! That would be LESS per tank, not MORE.

 

That's what I thought, the gas consumption increase sucks, I'm thinking of not getting the shield put in for a while, maybe i'll wait for a new flash that will bring back the gas mileage to what it was before the heat shield flash.

 

which ECU flash are you talking about here?
