Oh man. That's cold. I've never seen anything even close to that in my car. I think I might have been to -20C once (but only once and that was a couple of years ago). I thought it was cold tonight leaving the arena with it at -5C. That would be a heat wave for you guys I guess.

Well, I finally got my car started, after it sat in my girlfriend's driveway for four days of deep freeze. I put the battery back in (I had it inside to keep it warm) and after 10 minutes of effort, the engine finally turned over. Quite the cloud of smoke out the back, though.

I'm mobile again, and my 8 is now parked in my parkade where it's toasty. I missed her!

I wonder synthetic oil could help during such cold situations... My 8 is stored during winter... so i don't have any feedback if it's helps or not???
Any thoughts/experiences anyone?
Cheers,

Phil

More importantly, 0W30 oil has to be used.

Yikes! I thought my -33 was bad (wish I had a cameraphone when I saw that!). Glad it doesnt factor in the windchill.. or I dont think I would get out until I got back in the garage again..

Good to hear you are up and running again Fritz, at least when it was parked it was somewhere safe
