Club Track Day: FABI, July 16th, 2010
Awesome. Glad someone's bringing a torque wrench and impact gun :D
My buddy is a newb so I'll be driving with him. He's probably gonna rip us up on the straights (GTI) but lose in the corners.

modded gti or stock?
over the last 4 yrs i've only seen one physical conflict guy pushed some other guy after some name calling.
I'm not really worried about not being able to pass that much but i am enjoying worrying the noobs. we all have rx8's for the most part so it takes a while to close on someone even if they are noobs on street tires and your a pro on slicks. plus this is a new track for many of us it will take time to build up speed.

I was just answering Kafka's question about the items that Maffu mentioned.
Never actually got to try out the life of the batteries, so I'm planning on bringing a spare. I'm actually hoping to get the chance to completely drain out one of the batteries this time around. (Wish I had the new Li-ion ones, where I don't have to worry about memory effects... stupid NiCad...)
HOWEVER, since only place for newbie to pass is the back straight, if he does not build up enough speed out of the last harpin, then the power won't able to help him much.
Theif make sure you teach him to get the harpin right then he can safely pass the rx8 on the straight....
If he is chipped then he will own all our rx8 on a straightline any day of the week....

I'll be bringing:
2 x camp chairs
12 bottles of cold water in cooler
1 jug of Castrol GTX 5W20
portable personal fan in case it gets really hot and someone needs cooling.
Stoner's glass cleaner for cleaning bugs off windshield in case they're a distraction for visibility.

Actually I made 5 white Triangle with a Large Green Dot Window Clings.
great track day guys!!! awesome weather! I'm lovin' the R1s =]
my only complain would be about the mosquitos that feasted off of us after the extended track session when we had to switch our tires back!!! So many that if i had a fly-swatter, a single swing could have easily killed 10+ mosquito/flies!!
i had to live with 5 that stayed in my car for the ride back to toronto >=[ couldn't get them to go out even opening all the windows and what not.
Once again, thanks for organizing this whole event Rick!! and sorry for being slightly late =P I know the event didn't go exactly as you had planned, but we all had fun! so THANKS!!!
