Thanks, to everyone. Great turnout. Good to see some the old faces and some new ones.
The drive home was horrible, nate was that you in that chain of car in the left lane, I flash as passed on the inside on the 401.

Yeah, I don't know what the hell was wrong with traffic. We ate dinner in Belleville, so left around 9:45pm, there was bad traffic all the way back to Toronto...

it was bad? i was cruising at 120-130 all the way from shannonville until i hit kennedy...where express was closed and collectors got jammed. But then again, I left shannonville at around almost 10. So the traffic might have been good by then =]

Awesome day at the track! Big thanks to both Rick's. One for organizing the evene, and the other for bringing home all my stuff I forgot at the track.

Also thanks for letting me drive your 8 around the track, it was like old times.

I almost had as much fun on my exit as the actual racing

Amazing time, definitely would like to go again. Thanks to Rick for putting this together, and to everyone who helped me pop my track cherry.

Vivian took photos with my camera, they will be edited and then I'll post them all up somehow. Stay tuned.

So what was your fastest speed around the double apex? I hit 110km/hr freakin awesome!! hold baby hold lol. Could probably hit 115/120 better suspension and sways.

Post up pics and video when get a chance. Who's the young kid with the red 8 (snowboarder) post up your vids man...and you were doin great for your first time out!

Awesome day all!

yea pics are a must, even some teasers would be nice! I would have brought my own camera if it wasn't from the early 90's.

Great day and all, finally nice to put a name and face to these usernames!:P

And of course, thanks for organizing Rick

^haha Kafka...I thank you as you gave me a goal to hit at 95+. First bunch of times around I was like no way 95 or so was pushing it...got the R1s warmed up, more comfortable, better line and started to really pick up the speed thru there. If I was going under 105 (when I did glance down) I was annoyed cuz I knew my line and speed was off. Good times

Fabi was a fun track, and going over all the turns with thief about lines, I would like to try a few new things to get faster.

BTW...I hate turn 3!! it sucked!!

Yeah Rick, great organizaton - thanks for that and taking me out around the track. Nice to meet several others too.

Can't believe it's taken me nearly 5 years to take the 8 to a track - I now got even more love for the car - greasy 5 year old tires and original pads and it still was so easy to control. Once I caught on, drifting it through the double apex was freak'n awesome. Last corner though, I never got it right.

The photos turned out ok. Vivian did a great job for her first time using a slr with a lens that won't zoom. Next time I'll adjust the settings a little better.

Here's a teaser. I plan to edit all of them tomorrow. Do you all want your plates blurred out?

The inside of my exhaust tips were completely WHITE.. All traces of carbon were gone/burnt off.

Track-ing is actually healthy to this car. Definitely gets rid of carbon deposits everywhere!

Hehe np...now you give me a goal to do 100km/h+ next time...I have a hard time trying to figure the entry approach of it...full throttle throuogh turn 4 then brake, aim for that concrete line and hold on...?

Turn 3 definitely sucked...but I heard Reckless is doing the last hairpin with 3rd gear wtf bbq I am confused lol

I gonna do it again in August, really want to learn one track(Shannonvlle with all the configuration) inside out before moving on everywhere...Mosport GP track is too crazy for me for now...at least I can go off-road in Shannonville and have a good laugh :P

P.S: GREAT pics...anyone took any rx8 with their asses spiting fire at the back straight?

Footman, tracking is not healthy to any car since it increase load on the components...it will accelerate the wear out of pads/rotors/suspension/etc...HOWEVER, it is healthy for our engine if its not overheated since it will burn all the carbon deposit in / out....you will also notice your car runs much smoother in the next few days.

Did you have fun? Much better than zipping through 401 traffic eh?

1st if your have time to look at your speedmeter your not driving hard enough! Thats why we dont have speedo's in race cars. Having said that I was instructing out there on last Wednesday (I cant take Friday's off) and had my new Tundra at 165 down the backstraight, not bad for 5500LBS lol. I also passed a BMW X5. A guy with a Lambo LP640 proved that you can still crash at Shannonville with all the drivers aids still active, thats what happens when you take the end of the backstraight flat lol. If you guys pick a different night or weekend I will come out and instruct if you wish

I still have a few more to edit. sorry about the music in the first one, i had the stereo at 25 and was in the zone. except when i was paying more attention to the car leaving the pit, then the corner coming
