Feel free to try it next time Andrew - it seems to rev faster and drop revs quicker, that's all. It may help with low gear acceleration, I did notice I was inching up on some 8's on the main straight. Otherwise, only times I shifted into 2nd was at corner 3 (sometimes) and 9, anywhere else had me at redline right away.

 

If you got one of me "in action" then there's a beer in it for you at the next pub night! I'll be the silver 8 being "creative" with lines.

I had planned to take my son to ride along and to aslo take pics, but he got himnself grounded the night before.

Tires are toast... got no grip anywhere.. suspension setup really good, but can only go so far with shitty tires

looking thru these pics reminded me just how much fun we had. coming out with the rx8club is nice in someways yet boring in others, very little traffic and rarely catching up to someone. its good for learning the track and using a stop watch trying to set a new fast lap. while if you dont have a stop watch it gets boring kind of quick. doesn't seem to be that much difference from the slow to the fast still takes quite a few laps to catch up. i love catching up to someone and see who is faster.

There were several pictures taken at the first corner showing the body lean. You can clearly see the difference between stock shock/springs vs. Eibach + Bilstein B8 setup...

I definitely have less lean than the others with stock suspension. B8's are awesome!

are you serious? that shows the difference between slicks and stock tires its not all suspension. id love to have had time/ energy to swap my slicks on your car.

 

Of course, it's never 100% suspension Nate, but suspension setup is THE major contributor to body lean.. tires have such minimal effect. In fact, the only role I could see tires affecting body roll is tire pressure! Most of it really is sways/shocks/springs.
