Canadian Olympics

I know this is a bit off topic...

Is anyone going to watch the olympics this year? I have been a bit out of the loop with this whole deal, any Canadians to watch out for? I love the short track bike racing.

If my car stillisn't ready this week, I'll have lots of time to sit around and watch the olymics.

I love sports and the Olympics is something i definitely enjoy watching especiallly since I have been a subscriber of HD sports for several years...I think this year we dont have a very good track and field team. We still have simon whitfield going for gold in the triathlon and our canoeing and kayaking teams prob give us the best chance at medals.....Oh yeah there is always the mens basketball team, oh wait we didnt make it cause we suck and Leo rautins should stick to broadcasting

I'll be rooting for my cousin Seamus McGrath, he's a part of the mens Mountain Bike team for Canada.

Hopfully the air pollution over there doesn't effect him since he has asthma!

but winning one gold medal doesn't make you a powerhouse. Canada's medal count (Gold Silver Bronze) in the last few Summer games...

2004: 3 6 3
2000: 3 3 8
1996: 3 11 8
1992: 7 4 7

Not exactly what I would call a powerhouse....seems like we're actually getting worse

I'm watching the opening cerimonies right now. They say we should get 12-15 medals depending on how pwerful the Chinese are.
