Just wondering anyone here AutoX their cars at the local solo IIs? I know for GVRD there are two clubs - VCMC and the UBCSC (sp?) at Boundary Bay and now the Pitt Meadows airport.
I am thinking to autoX mine sometime. Just wanna know from those who had.

 

AutoX=Autocross

I have done it with my car with AE86 club and others at boundary bay. It was pretty good

 

I have memberships to both UBC and VCMC, and have done autox several times. The people in both clubs are friendly and helpful to novices like myself. There are a couple of members with Rx8, but they don't race in every event.

 

I'm still breaking my car in.

Guess I will find out how much these OEM RE040's really suck.......Wife took the VCMC Velocity Driving School and said it was great...and said it was a great group of guys.

 

hey guys, those of you who are members of either the UBCSC or VCMC clubs or know about upcoming acutocross events or classes, could you PM me with info?
I want pass it on to other local rx8 owners. It would be nice to have our car better represented out there!

btw, is anyone else registered or going to the PDC Driver Education course at mission on Monday July 23rd?

 

I believe the UBCSC's website has all the schedule. It's $10 for membership!

 

Definitely, I would like to see more RX8's in an autoX event. Being new to this sport, I'm still learning how to race with this car, and haven't used its full potential.

I will prolly drop by one of the UBCSC at Pitt Meadows one of these days. Hope to see some fellow 8s.
